Auto Loan Discounts

First Time Car Buyer Program: We offer a ¼% First Time Car Buyer discount to any member who is financing a vehicle for the first time. This program is especially helpful to teens, young adults and parents who are assisting with the costs of financing a new vehicle.

Checking Accounts with an Active VISA Check/Debit Card Discount: All members with a Checking Account with an active VISA Check/Debit Card receive an extra ¼% discount on auto or personal loans (an active VISA Check/Debit Card is defined as having at least 5 signature based transactions each month for the past 6 months).

Direct Deposit Discount: All members who have direct deposit of their entire net pay and repay their auto loans via direct deposit/payroll deduction receive an extra ¼% on auto and personal loans.

New Member Discount: New Credit Union members receive a voucher for ¼% off the interest rate on any auto or personal loan, good for the first 90 days of membership.

Maximum discount on any loan is 0.75%. Other restrictions may apply.

Guaranteed Asset Protection**

There could be a big difference between what your insurance will pay and what you owe on a loan in the event your vehicle is lost, stolen or accidentally damaged beyond repair. Who is responsible to pay the difference, or the "gap," between your insurer's settlement and your loan balance? YOU ARE.

Member's Choice™ Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) could save you thousands of dollars. It is low cost coverage that pays the potentially high cost difference between your insurance settlement and your loan balance on items directly related to the purchase of your vehicle.

GAP Plus coverage also includes up to $1,000 toward your down payment of a replacement vehicle (where allowed by law and when financed by the Credit Union).

It's easy to be covered. You can sign up for GAP when you apply for your vehicle loan. There's no underwriting, no red tape, no hassles. And for your convenience, the amount can be rolled into your monthly loan payment. GAP is fully refundable if you cancel the coverage within the first 90 days and can be purchased during the first 60 days of the vehicle loan.

Mechanical Repair Coverage (MRC)**

You can't choose when your vehicle breaks down, but you can choose to lessen your financial burden and inconvenience when it does. Member's Choice™ Mechanical Repair Coverage (MRC) pays for covered repairs (cost of parts and labor) on your vehicle when unexpected breakdowns occur.

You know how long you want to keep your car, how many miles you plan to drive it, plus your other driving habits. It only makes sense that you choose the mechanical repair plan and terms of protection that are right for you without having to revert to 'mile zero' or the 'in-service' date on your vehicle. In addition, you may purchase your coverage at any time as long as your vehicle is 10 years old or newer wtih 100,000 miles or less. Once you select your plan, you're immediately covered.

Beyond covering repairs, Member's Choice™ Mechanical Repair Coverage (MRC) also includes:

Rental reimbursement - to keep you in a vehicle when yours is held overnight for covered repairs.
24-hour, toll-free roadside assistance - which covers towing, jump starts, flat tire changing, fluid delivery (fuel, oil, etc.), and entry when keys are locked in your car.
Emergency travel expense - to cover lodging, meals and transportation if your vehicle is disabled due to a collision or a covered breakdown 100 or more miles from home.
Nationwide authorized repair facilities - from coast to coast in the US and Canada, thousands of authorized dealerships and repair facilities accept this coverage.
Transferable coverage - when you're ready to sell your vehicle to a private party, you may transfer coverage to the new owner.
Flexible commitment - you may cancel your coverage at any time for at least a pro-rata refund.
No out of pocket costs (other than any applicable deductible) - don't worry about receiving bills from your repair shop. Bills are sent directly to the plan administrator for payment of all covered repairs.
