Overdraft Protection

If you overdraw your Checking Account, we will transfer funds from your Savings Account or Line of Credit to cover the overdrawn item for a small fee of $1.00.

Overdraft Advance

If you overdraw your Checking Account and have insufficient funds in Savings or a Line of Credit, we may extend an Overdraft Advance to cover your check, withdrawal, ATM transaction, or other electronic transfer.  Although there is a $25 fee for the payment of each overdraft, you will avoid the fees, late charges, and other penalties assessed by the merchant as well as the inconvenience and embarrassment of a returned check. Overdraft balances must be repaid within 30 days.

The payment of overdrafts is discretionary and Viriva Community Credit Union reserves the right to deny an Overdraft Advance. For example, if an account is not in good standing, a loan is more than 20 days past due, an account has exceeded its courtesy limit, or regular deposits are not being made, Viriva Community Credit Union may, at our sole discretion, return any NSF items.
